Job description & requirements

Reporting to the Medical Incharge, the holder of this position will provide help to patients and their families navigate and access preventive, promotive and basic curative dental care. Encourage families to adopt healthy dental behaviour, offer support through an integrated approach and community outreach dental programs.

Qualifications, Experience, Competencies and Personal Attributes Required:

  • Should possess a diploma in Community Oral Health from a recognized institution.
  • Registered and licenced by the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board (KMPDC)
  • Valid practicing licence
  • Two (2) years’ experience in a busy hospital.
  • Must be competent in basic dental procedures and use of dental instruments
  • Should be patient-centred, empathetic and professional
  • Accuracy and attention to details.
  • Must demonstrate high integrity and ethical practice
  • Must demonstrate ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Must be a team player who is able to work cordially in teams
  • Must demonstrate ability to multitask.
  • Must demonstrate commitment to operational effectiveness
  • Must have the ability to communicate for both written and oral communication
  • Must be able to work under pressure
  • Must be a flexible person, who is willing to learn and able to work flexible hours to achieve goals
  • Ability to translate and communicate biblical values / hospital ethics in personal life and professional life
  • Must be an honest person full of integrity in their personal conduct and handling of job
