Looking for an accounting job in Kenya? Corporate Staffing Services is recruiting an Accounts Assistant position. The salary for the role is Ksh 40,000 – 60,000 monthly. Proficiency in financial record keeping, reconciliations, and ERP accounting software is required.

Our client is seeking to hire an Accounts Assistant who will support them in the day-to-day operations of the Accounts department. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented and organized in fulfilling administrative and accounting support duties for the client company.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices, payments, and receipts accurately and on time.
• Prepare payment vouchers and maintain proper financial documentation.
• Perform bank, petty cash, and ledger reconciliations.
• Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and schedules.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and filing systems.
• Support accounts receivable and accounts payable functions, including follow-up on outstanding balances.
• Assist in budget monitoring and expenditure tracking.
• Support procurement processes by verifying documentation and ensuring compliance with financial procedures.
• Participate in project financial tracking, reporting, and reconciliation where applicable.
• Assist during internal and external audits by providing the required documentation.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA Part II qualification or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
• Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience in an accounting role.
• Sound knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP accounting software.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proven experience in handling projects or procurement cycles will be an added advantage.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, inventory management, and cost accounting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of any ERP accounting software.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
