Job Description

The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and a strong sense of responsibility in maintaining accurate processes and compliance with established procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Keep inventory records precise and ensure prompt entry of data
• Receiving of stocks per site
• Address inventory discrepancies and promptly resolve any issues
• Monitor inventory levels and conduct routine inspections to confirm precision
• Create thorough inventory reports to be reviewed by management
• Examine inventory expenses and discrepancies to assist in making financial choices
• Work together with the supply and retail teams to optimise inventory procedures
• Help with inventory-related tasks during the monthly and yearly closing processes
• Establish and uphold Inventory Management Protocols
• Make sure to follow company policies and adhere to accounting standards
• Offer advice and suggestions for improving inventory efficiency and lowering costs
• Plan and organise for quarterly stock takes at all sites (and impromptu ones where necessary)

Qualifications

• Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• CPA qualification or accounting background.
• 3-5 years’ experience in inventory or stock control (preferably in oil and gas or FMCG)
• Strong numerical, analytical, advanced Excel and reporting skills.
• Experience using the Sage ERP system will be an added advantage
• Deep knowledge of Kenyan tax, regulatory, and energy sector rules.
• Immediate availability is preferred
