IT Jobs. Corporate Staffing Services is recruiting an IT Support Officer position for a client in the construction industry. The salary for the role is Ksh 70,000 – 90,000 monthly. Proficiency in network management, system administration, and end-user support is required.
Our client is an international construction and engineering company with a strong presence in Kenya and across Africa. The firm is recognized for delivering high-quality infrastructure and building projects through innovative design, technical expertise, and a commitment to safety and sustainability.
They are seeking a dependable and organized IT Support Officer responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting computer systems, software, and networks for all staff working across Africa. They ensure that IT systems run smoothly and that users receive timely technical assistance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage network & systems, firewall and storage related issues of the company
- Provide end-user support and training for hardware and software.
- Install, configure and provide technical support to workstations, software, communication services, network printing, scanner, biometric system, CCTV etc.
- Maintain and provide IT support and troubleshooting for end users.
- Perform system administration and maintenance tasks including data protection/backup and disaster recovery sites.
- Deploy, manage and troubleshoot user workstation and computer equipment
- Monitor anti-virus activity, reporting and update
- Create user guide, maintain record and IT documentation
- Perform inventory management of hardware and software
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- At least a Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology or equivalent
- At least 3-5 years of working experience in the related field
- Knowledge of TCP/IP and Windows system
- Experience in construction industry will be added advantage
- Good understanding and experience of Windows operating system, office365, Sharepoint and Autodesk
- Problem-solving and analytical thinking.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Time management and the ability to prioritize multiple support requests.
