Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will report to the Group Projects Manager and be charged with the following responsibilities.
- Active involvement in tender bids and proposals preparation.
- Estimating quantities, costs and time scales for material and labour
- Preparing tender and contract documents
- Negotiating contracts.
- Identifying and weighing up commercial risks
- Valuing completed work, managing budgets and overseeing payments
- Ensuring projects meet legal and quality standards
- Submitting regular budget reports
- Following building regulations and health and safety
- Accomplish project objectives by coordinating and reviewing project schedules.
- Enforcing policies and procedures
- Interacting with clients, interpreting their needs and requirements, and representing them in the field
- Performing quality control tasks on budgets, schedules, plans, and personnel performance and reporting on the project’s status
- Communicating and managing all project stakeholders
- Successfully run all allocated projects from inception to commissioning while ensuring customer satisfaction and quality
Qualifications and Experience: –
- Upper 2nd class in Engineering discipline, Quantity Surveying discipline or related field.
- Quantity Surveying Certification
- A minimum of two years’ work experience in quantity surveying with a reputable organization.
- A proven sales record with good customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational, time management, leadership, and decision-making skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of applicable codes, policies, standards, and best practices.
- Ability to work with multiple discipline projects.
