Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Pyrolysis Technician based in Migori. The Pyrolysis Technician will operate and maintain pyrolysis equipment, monitor processes, ensure safety and efficiency, and record operational data. Key responsibilities include managing waste processing, troubleshooting technical issues, performing routine maintenance, and collaborating with team members to optimize production. The technician will adhere to environmental, health, and safety standards while contributing to biochar carbon sequestration and soil regeneration.

Qualifications
- Experience in equipment operation and maintenance, particularly in waste-to-energy or manufacturing facilities
- Technical troubleshooting, problem-solving, and process optimization skills
- Knowledge of environmental and safety regulations, as well as compliance practices
- A strong understanding of pyrolysis or related chemical engineering processes a strong plus
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to work on-site in Migori and adapt to challenging environments
- Relevant technical diploma
- Previous experience in waste management or renewable energy technologies is an advantage
- Verifiable references and academic qualifications
