Responsibilities :
- They prepare tender documents, including bills of quantities, to solicit bids from contractors.
- Quantity surveyors estimate the cost of materials, labour, and other resources, and then monitor and control these costs throughout the project.
- They identify and assess potential financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- They manage the procurement process, ensuring that materials and services are obtained at competitive prices.
- They conduct site visits to assess progress, verify work completed, and address any issues that arise.
- They ensure that all work complies with relevant regulations and quality standards.
- They maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates and advice on financial matters

Required profile for job ad : Quantity Surveyor – Nairobi
- At least 28 years old
- Diploma in Quantity Surveying
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in project work
- Experience with Bill of Quantities, especially with tenders and general quotations
- Capable of monitoring project costs and staging
- Good temperament, capable of working with a multi-disciplinary team
