Responsibilities
- Prepare project cost estimates, budgets, and feasibility studies. Conduct tender analysis and prepare bills of quantities (BOQs). Evaluate and negotiate contracts with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients.
- Monitor project costs and advise on cost-saving measures.
- Prepare interim payment applications and final accounts.
- Conduct site visits and measurements to track material usage and work done.
- Manage variations, change orders, and claims.
- Liaise with architects, engineers, site managers, and clients to align on project progress and cost implications.
- Prepare cost reports and provide accurate financial forecasting.
- Ensure compliance with legal and contractual obligations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in quantity surveying in the construction industry.
- Proficient in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and quantity surveying software (e.g., CostX, WinQS, ArchiCAD).
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
- High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Registration with BORAQS or other relevant professional body is an added advantage.
