Responsibilities
News Gathering and Research:
- Investigating topics: Delve into various business subjects, from local community events to international business, using a variety of methods.
- Source vetting: Conduct rigorous research, cross-referencing information from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and credibility.
- Interviews: A key part of the job is interviewing individuals, including experts, officials, eyewitnesses, and ordinary people, to gather firsthand accounts and diverse perspectives.
- Data analysis: Use data analysis to uncover trends and patterns, creating data-driven stories.
Storytelling and Presentation:
- Writing and editing: Craft clear, concise, and engaging stories for social platforms. Edit your work to meet editorial standards and deadlines.
- Multimedia production: Creating content for multiple formats, including print articles, broadcast reports, online videos, podcasts, and social media posts. We require skills in audio and video editing, photography, and graphic design.
- Adapting to social platforms: Tailor your storytelling style and language to suit a short social media video.
