Position Title: Mechanical Maintenance Technician
Location: Kiambu
Number of Positions: 4
Job Purpose
The Mechanical Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing mechanical equipment and production machinery to ensure optimal performance, minimal downtime, and smooth production operations within a fast-paced FMCG manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production machinery
- Troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns and ensure timely repairs
- Inspect equipment to identify faults and recommend improvements
- Support installation and commissioning of new machinery
- Maintain maintenance records and service reports
- Ensure adherence to safety and hygiene standards in the production environment
- Work closely with production teams to minimize downtime
Requirements
- Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 2–3 years’ experience in maintenance within FMCG
• Must have worked in flour milling, bakery, bread production industry
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills
- Ability to work in shifts and under pressure
