Job description & requirements
Plan, deliver, and evaluate perioperative training programs for theatre students, scrub staff, recovery staff, and support personnel.
Conduct orientation and induction training for new theatre employees.
Assess clinical competencies and maintain staff training records.
Provide education on:
- Infection prevention and control
- Aseptic techniques
- Surgical instrumentation
- Patient safety protocols
- Anaesthetic and recovery procedures
- Theatre equipment usage
Support implementation of evidence-based perioperative practices.
Identify training needs through audits, incident reviews, and performance assessments.
