Role: The QA In-Charge leads quality control and laboratory operations at the fish feed plant, ensuring all raw materials and finished products meet nutritional, safety, and regulatory standards. The role owns NIR calibration, wet chemistry accuracy, and in-process quality monitoring to maintain consistent product performance.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished feed to ensure nutritional and safety compliance
- Execute and supervise wet chemistry proximate analysis (moisture, protein, fat, fiber, ash) with analytical accuracy
- Manage, calibrate, and validate NIR systems with routine cross-verification against wet chemistry
- Develop and maintain laboratory SOPs, documentation systems, and equipment calibration schedules
- Define and enforce raw material and finished product quality standards
- Monitor in-process quality during extrusion and flag deviations proactively
- Lead root cause analysis for non-conformances and customer complaints; implement CAPA
- Ensure batch traceability and regulatory compliance
- Support audits and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Animal Nutrition, Food Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related Advanced laboratory or quality systems training is an advantage
Experience:
- 5–8 years in QA/QC within feed, food, or manufacturing
- Hands-on NIR calibration and wet chemistry experience
- Exposure to extrusion-based feed manufacturing preferred
- Strong data interpretation and basic statistical quality control skills
