Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate recruitment, selection, induction, deployment and exit processes in accordance with approved human resource policies and applicable labour laws.
- Support the review, implementation and continuous improvement of HR policies, procedures and staff guidelines to promote compliance and consistency.
- Administer employee leave, attendance records and staff welfare while ensuring proper documentation and timely reporting.
- Monitor compliance with employment legislation, HR regulatory requirements, internal procedures and good HR practice.
- Coordinate occupational safety and health matters, including workplace safety checks, statutory compliance and implementation of health and safety procedures.
- Support fair handling of employee relations matters, including discipline, grievances, consultations and workplace conflict resolution.
- Maintain accurate, confidential and up-to-date employee records in line with data protection requirements and internal records management procedures.
- Prepare periodic HR and administration reports covering staffing matters, administrative activities, compliance issues, emerging risks and recommended actions.
Minimum Requirements
- A university degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or a related field.
- Possession of a valid IHRM HR Practising Certificate. Certified Human Resource Professional, CHRP-K, will be an added advantage.
- At least three years’ relevant experience in a similar role, preferably within the financial services sector, microfinance sector, Sacco sector or a service-based organisation.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, planning, organisational and people management skills
