Job summary
General Purpose Our client, a market leader in the food manufacturing sector with exciting brands such as drinking chocolates, ice cream, yogurts, topping sauces, and chocolate spreads, is seeking to recruit a Quality Assurance Assistant to support the implementation of quality assurance systems, food safety standards, and product quality monitoring across the manufacturing process.

Salary: Ksh. 35,000
Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct routine quality inspections and checks on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
- Monitor compliance with GMP, GHP, HACCP, and food safety requirements.
- Assist in maintaining quality records, reports, and documentation.
- Support product sampling, testing, and verification activities.
- Participate in internal audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor hygiene and sanitation practices within production areas.
- Assist in investigating quality issues and implementing corrective measures.
- Ensure compliance with company quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Food Science & Technology, Quality Assurance, Applied Biology, Microbiology, Industrial Chemistry, or a related field.
- Minimum 4 years' experience in a food manufacturing environment.
- Good understanding of food safety systems, HACCP, GMP, and quality management principles.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in quality documentation and reporting.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
