DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct routine sampling and testing of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods in line with established procedures.
Perform basic laboratory analyses (e.g., moisture content, pH, temperature checks, or other relevant tests) and ensure results are accurately recorded.
Assist in verifying that production processes adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality specifications.
Monitor critical control points (CCPs) and report any deviations or non-conformities promptly.
Support investigation of quality issues, including root cause analysis and documentation of findings.
Assist in implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and follow up on their effectiveness.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date quality records, logs, and reports (both manual and digital).
Support internal audits and inspections by preparing documentation and participating in audit activities.
Ensure compliance with food safety standards, hygiene protocols, and occupational health & safety regulations.
Work closely with production teams to promote quality awareness and adherence to best practices.
Assist in calibration and basic maintenance of laboratory and quality testing equipment.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing product quality and process efficiency.
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety of the laboratory and quality control workspaces.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
Degree or Diploma in Food Science and Technology, Analytical Chemistry, or a related field.
Basic understanding of quality control principles and laboratory practices.
Knowledge of food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, ISO standards) is an added advantage.
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Google Workspace tools.
Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills.
Good communication and report-writing skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
